Pilates exercises are one of the most effective and safest forms of exercise which build up your core muscles.

Pilates focuses on building your body's core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. By core strength, we mean back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Through Pilates, you will be able to develop these muscles without adding bulk, increasing your flexibility and agility, stamina, balance and at the same time toning your stomach and thigh muscles.

The principle objective of Pilates is to build abdominal, back and pelvic strength resulting in body toning and improved posture. With good posture the involuntary body functions such as breathing, digestion also benefit.

Breathing techniques are an important part of Pilates, helping the delivery of oxygen to the body so boosting energy levels. And because a Pilates session will leave you feeling relaxed and energised, your mental wellbeing will improve alongside your physical wellbeing and sleeping patterns.
